[edit] Plot Outline

Blanche tries hard to look good for her latest boyfriend, Dirk, an aerobics instructor half her age. Meanwhile, Rose's free-spirited mother Alma comes to visit but gets fed up with Rose's overprotectiveness.

[edit] Trivia

  • This episode has no mention of Rose being adopted. Her and Alma's conversations have no indication that Rose isn't Alma's biological daughter.

[edit] Memorable Quotes

  • (Blanche is exercising in a crouched position as Dorothy watches)
Dorothy: The only time I get in that position is when I give birth.
  • Blanche: Why Dirk, did I just hear you ask me for a date?
Sophia: Are you deaf? I heard him from here.
  • Blanche: This is strictly off the record, but Dirk is almost five years younger than I am.
Dorothy: In what, Blanche? Dog years?
