Blanchard is a census-designated place (CDP) in Centre County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the State College, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 621 at the 2000 census.

Blanchard is located at 41°3′45″N, 77°36′8″W (41.062447, -77.602237)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.1 km² (1.2 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 621 people, 242 households, and 180 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 199.8/km² (517.7/mi²). There were 255 housing units at an average density of 82.0/km² (212.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 99.68% White and 0.16% Native American. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.16% of the population.

There were 242 households out of which 32.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.3% were married couples living together, 8.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.6% were non-families. 21.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 2.91.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 24.8% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 25.4% from 25 to 44, 24.5% from 45 to 64, and 17.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 89.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.1 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $31,042, and the median income for a family was $37,813. Males had a median income of $27,014 versus $19,183 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $17,836. About 3.9% of families and 9.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 7.2% of those under age 18 and 17.1% of those age 65 or over.
