The Blame Thrower is a fictional technology from the movie Mystery Men. It is one of the non-lethal weapons invented by the eccentric scientist Dr. Heller. Anyone caught in its invisible beam are coerced into pointing out the faults of others around them. The Bowler and the Spleen are momentarily caught in the Blame Thrower's beam when the Shoveler accidentally fires the weapon during a visit to Dr. Heller's lab.
