Blake Hayes was a fictional character in the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. He was played by actor Peter Brown from 1991 to 1992.

[edit] Taylor's first husband

Blake, the much older ex-husband of Dr. Taylor Hamilton (Hunter Tylo), who suffered from a mental illness that caused him to be violent, arrived in Los Angeles, determined to win back his ex-wife. He was upset to learn that Taylor was only interested in fashion designer Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss).

Blake met Margo Lynley (Lauren Koslow) at a bar one night. Believing Margo could help him come between Ridge and Taylor, Blake became obsessed with Margo to the extent that he rented an apartment across the street from hers, constantly watching her through binoculars. Blake also gained an ally in Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), who also wanted to break up Ridge and Taylor. After seeking treatment, Blake began trying to woo Taylor, promising that he was no longer violent. Still, Taylor was fixated on Ridge, despite Blake showing her Stephanie's video tape of Ridge and Brooke having sex in the Forrester Creations laboratory.

Blake began dating Margo, who was only pretending to be interested in him to make her husband, Bill (James Storm), jealous. A fist fight between Blake and Bill made Blake and Margo see that they were both still in love with their exes.

Soon after, Ridge was shot and hospitalized, leading Taylor and Margo to suspect Blake of the shooting. Blake was acquitted, and decided to leave town to move to Texas. Before he left, Margo confided to him that Ridge's deceased first wife, Caroline (Joanna Johnson), had a long-lost identical twin, Karen (also played by Johnson). When Blake got to Texas, he encountered Bonnie Roberts (Dorothy Lyman) and her daughter, a waitress named Faith, who was the spitting image of Caroline.

After befriending Faith (who later turned out to be Karen), Blake took her back to L.A. with him, lying that she was really Caroline. This didn't break up Ridge and Taylor as Blake had hoped, so he finally realized that he had no chance with Taylor and moved to Texas permanently.
