Blake Emmons
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Blake Emmons is a Canadian country music singer and entertainer.
Emmons is famous in Canada for his music, as well as his hosting of the 1974 CBC series Funny Farm, the Canadian answer to Hee Haw.
American audiences first saw Emmons on their televisions in 1985, when he appeared as a contestant and champion on The Joker's Wild. Possibly due to this appearance (or because of his celebrity in Canada), Emmons was tapped by USA to host its revival of the 1980 game show Chain Reaction, which premiered on September 29, 1986. Emmons did not last long as host of the show, however, and before the end of the year was replaced by Geoff Edwards (who would remain host until the show's cancellation in 1991).
Emmons was also the host of the Saskatchewan Kinsmen Telemiracle telethon for several years beginning in 1978 and was involved with the telethon for several years afterwards.
