Blake Dawson Waldron, shortened to BDW or Blakes, is one of Australia's leading law firms. According to Asia Pacific Legal 500: " Six firms (including BDW) dominate the commercial legal arena and, with offices in each of the major cities, are able to offer the resources to service clients' needs across the country". The firm has "first tier" rankings in Corporate/M&A, Employment, IT & Telecoms, Intellectual Property, Restructuring & Insolvency, and Transport.
Founded in the 1850s, it is now one of the largest firms in the country, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, Port Moresby, Shanghai, and an associated office in Jakarta. It is currently aiming to expand its Asia practice.
