Blacksmiths is a suburb in the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales. It is located on the east side of Lake Macquarie, between Belmont and Swansea.

The area unsuitable for development until 1947, when flood mitigation works were completed. Subdivision took place in 1948. The public school opened in 1962.
