[edit] History

Blacklight was organized for a battle-of-the-bands competition in Coalville, England. Original members included James Morrell, Andy Hughes, Brendan Clarke and Jeff Lindsey, but after many disagreements, Brendan Clarke left, followed shortly thereafter by Jeff Lindsey, who left due to the fact that his school hours were too late to fit into the practice times that the rest of the band wanted. Morrell and Hughes continued the band, hiring Luke Satchwell, a drummer from Morrell's previous band, and William Alexander, a bassist. After failing to get the new lineup ready in time for the demo disk deadline, the band was put on the waiting list for the concert. So Andy and James decided to hire manager Thom Hodkinson to arrange concerts for the future.

During the week of the 19th of June 06, William Alexander was dropped as bassist, and new hopeful bassist Stuart Boland. Also, in the following week, Thom Hodkinson, former part-time manager, decided to take the slot of backup vocals, adding to the harmony of Andy Hughes' distinct voice. With new lineup, the band strives onwards to make their music heard to millions of people living in the world.
