Blackened Sky (2002) |
The Vertigo of Bliss (2003) |
Blackened Sky is the debut album by Biffy Clyro, and the product of 4 years of touring and hard work by the band. Produced by Chris Sheldon, who would continue to work with the band over the next few years, this is arguably the band at their most anthemic and sensitive, with songs veering from beautiful to raging anger, frequently within the space of a bar. Although it is considered the band's most accessible album, it shows the beginnings of the quirkier aspects of their sound that would be explored in more depth on The Vertigo of Bliss and Infinity Land.
As with each of the band's three first albums, it has only been played in full once, on 13 December 2005 at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow.
Released on both CD and 12" Vinyl gatefold.
