Black Randy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Black Randy, born as Jon Morris, was the legendary leader of west coast art-punk soul band Black Randy And The Metrosquad. He was well known for irrational frustrating antics, infantilism, practical jokes involving feces, and bizarre punk songs about gay prostitution, drugs, and Marlon Brando. Best remembered musically for the songs "Trouble at the Cup" and "I Slept In An Arcade".

He was involved with the short-lived record label Dangerhouse Records.

Black Randy died from an HIV (AIDS)-related disease in October 1988.
