Black Press (Canadian publishing company)

Black Press is a publication company that produces major newspapers in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia in Canada and the states of Washington, Hawaii and Ohio in the United States. Black Press administers over ninety-five newspapers like the Akron Beacon Journal, Honolulu Star-Bulletin and fourteen regional website press presences. It is currently owned and administered by David Holmes Black, not related to Canadian-born British former media mogul Conrad Black. The company is 20% owned by Torstar, another Canadian publishing company.
