  • The Black Hand Gang, a secret society featured in Eve Garnett's The Family from One End Street. Henry Oates, a twelve-year-old foreman's son, leads this group; its members include the Ruggles twins, Jim and John.
  • The Adventures of the Black Hand Gang is a short illustrated novel, now out-of-print, by Hans Jurgen Press. Offered in the U.S. via the Scholastic Book Service, the short collection of illustrated mysteries involved a small group of kids solving crimes or mysteries, using their keen senses of observation. The unique thing about the book was the innovative use of hidden clues in the illustrations that allowed the reader to participate in the mystery solving.
