"Black Fingernails, Red Wine" is a song by Eskimo Joe, off the album of the same name. It is their most successful single to date, being their first song to be in the top ten ARIA Chart. It peaked at #6 on the ARIA Charts, spent 19 weeks in the top 20, and won Single of the Year at the ARIA Music Awards of 2006. It also made #2 on the Triple J Hottest 100, 2006.

Two videos were made for this song. The first one showed them in a car and kidnapping people in the middle of the night. At the end of the video, the kidnapped people were revealed to be Eskimo Joe themselves. When Kavyen Temperley was on the Glass House, he said that this symbolised that Eskimo Joe had changed, and the kidnapped band were the old Eskimo Joe.

Due to the criminal theme of the original video, it received an M15+ classification in Australia, restricting it to night-time airplay. To enable the song to be played by daytime countdown shows, a second simple performance video, showing them playing in an old building, was made.

It has been noticed that Kav's vocals in this song are eerily similar to that of the late Michael Hutchence, former frontman for fellow Australian rock band INXS
