Black Cherry is the title of Goldfrapp's second album, released April 28, 2003 (see 2003 in music) in the United Kingdom. It was produced by Goldfrapp, and received a positive reception from music critics, with London-based newspaper The Guardian, calling the album "an unexpected delight" and About.com stating: "it's the ultimate chillout pleasure". The album, written and produced by Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory was different from the band's previous album, Felt Mountain. Black Cherry had pronounced, groovy drum beats and a generally edgier, more hectic atmosphere. The album was also a minor chart success, peaking at number nineteen on the UK Albums Chart.
This album has been released with the Copy Control protection system in some regions.
