Black Box Distribution

Black Box Distribution is a skateboard distributor owned by professional skateboarder Jamie Thomas. It serves 3 companies, all owned by Thomas: Zero Skateboards, Mystery Skateboards, and Fallen Footwear. Black Box also owns Cinco Maderas, a Mexico based woodshop that manufactures the decks for Mystery and Zero. In 2006 Jamie Thomas won an Ernst & Young regional Entrepreneur of the Year Award as president of Black Box.[1]

Zero Skateboards started as an apparel line when Thomas was riding for Toy Machine and blossomed into a full skateboard company. Zero is know for white graphics on black boards, although they also offer boards in other colors.

Mystery Skateboards is a skateboard deck company formed in 2003. Mystery is headed by Adrian Lopez, a former Zero pro. In contrast to Zero, Mystery decks most often have black graphics on white decks. Essentually still part of Zero, Thomas started this new company to take the deck art in a new direction.[citation needed]

Fallen Footwear is a skate footwear company. Originally it was a partnership between Thomas and DC Shoes. When DC was purchased by Quiksilver, Thomas chose not to sell Fallen and moved the brand to Black Box.[2]
