Blach Intermediate School

Blach Intermediate School is a middle school serving grades 7-8 in Los Altos, California, United States. It is part of the Los Altos School District. Founded in 1958, Blach is named after Georgina P. Blach, one of the school board members who passed away that year. It has one of the highest SAT scores in California. Blach was named after Georgina P. Blach after a dedication ceremony on December 11, 1958. Its rival school is Egan Junior High School. The school's mascot is a falcon.

The school was noted for its murals painted by students over the years that line the school's wall. In particular, a recreation of the Mona Lisa is the most famous mural at the school, as it is displayed beside the school's front office.

Blach's principal was Arthur S. Harris, who died on April 27, 2006. The library was dedicated to Harris after his death, christened the Arthur S. Harris Library and Media Center. Now, the principal is Leslie Crane.

In 2006, Blach started off their first leadership class. Taught by Mr. Liewer and Mrs. Chandler, the class does everything from organizing the dances to making videos about recycling. Most notably, it organizes school spirit activities, including Fun Fridays.
