[edit] Threatened

This is most certainly false, I can say for absolutely certain that bitterroot can be found all over Lemhi and Custer counties in Idaho, and have never heard of it being threatened. When I ate it with a Lemhi Shoshone family, we had no trouble gathering several pounds within a 2-3 acre area. (Side note - It really deserves its name, it's not exactly the most delectable of native flora. Even Cattail tastes better.) Dalrymple 10:09, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Classification

The German translation of bitterroot ('Bitterwurz') seems to include three species of Lewisiae, namely Lewisia cotyledon, Lewisia nevadensis and Lewisia rediviva. In this case, I propose to mention all three species in the article, or to move this article to Lewisia rediviva. 07:22, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
