[edit] Dr. Dre's original version
"Bitches Ain't Shit" features "West Coast rapping", "Gangsta rapping", and Dr. Dre's "G-Funk style of rapping", much like the rest of his highly influential album, The Chronic. The song disses Dr. Dre's former NWA band-mate, Eazy-E, and his manager, Jerry Heller. It is part of the Death Row vs. Ruthless hip hop feud. The song features Dat Nigga Daz, Kurupt, Snoop Doggy Dogg, and Jewell.

[edit] Ben Folds cover
Ben Folds' version features his trademark piano rock stylings and soft melodic vocals, which subverts the listeners expectations and highlights the lyrics making a poignant song from what could be misconstrued as a parody.

"Bitches Ain't Shit" has also been covered by wizard rock group Tom Riddle and Friends, in their song "Witches Ain't Shit".
