bit-tech is an online magazine for computer hardware and modding enthusiasts, based in the UK. It was founded in 2000 by a small team of enthusiasts and in 2005 became a fully professional online publication. It is the largest computer modding/hardware/gaming enthusiast site in the UK.

Originally, bit-tech.net was designed to be a small site where people who were interested in case modding could see new ideas from the team and discuss them in the forums, largely due to the small UK presence of modding at the time.

Now the team is made up of individuals from around the globe encompassing a wide technical spectrum, with specialities in electronics, design, hardware, telecommunications and many other aspects of the IT industry. Whilst still with a strong focus on modding, bit-tech now also covers independent, unbiased reviews of Computer Hardware as well as Computer and Video Games, Industry News and Editorials.

The publication operates from offices in Ascot, England, which it shares with sister publication TrustedReviews.

Wil Harris is the Editor-in-Chief of bit-tech.net.

The site has been responsible for some of the most legendary computer case mods in the computer enthusiast community.
