Talk:Bishop of Lincoln

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[1] has a list of bishops, as does [2]; unsure about accuracy. Shimgray 22:29, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Merge

I have merged the article Bishop of Lincoln (Catholic) into this one. aliceinlampyland 12:31, 9 February 2006 (UTC).

[edit] William of Alnwick

I think this bishop's name is actually William Alnwick. William of Alnwick was a Franciscan theologian of the century before. Unless someone has sources that say differently, that correction should probably be made. Cvj2000 16:18, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

I've made the above correction. I'm intending to remove the existing redirect and substitute a disambiguation page so that users can decide whether they want William Alnwick or William of Alnwick. This should remove any problem in case I am wrong about the Bishop of Norwich and Lincoln never having used "of" as part of his name. --Cvj2000 16:42, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate redlinks to people

The links to the bishops often feature two links, using different names, and often both are red-links. For example, under bishops 1183, both Walter de Constantiis and Walter de Coutances are linked. Is there any reason why both should be linked, when both links refer to the same person and will in all likelihood only have a single article about the person. Jayvdb 02:38, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
