Bishop Fenwick High School is a parochial high school in Franklin, Ohio, USA.

The school was opened August 21, 1952 and named in honor of Edward Dominic Fenwick, first Bishop of Cincinnati. The first principal was Rev. Julian Krusling. Due to outgrowing the original site, the school moved on November 20, 1962 to Manchester Avenue in Middletown. The growth continued and in September, 2004 the school moved to a new campus, in Franklin Township, Ohio.

The curriculum is accredited by the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association. Curriculum levels are Advanced College Preparatory study, College Preparatory and General Studies.

Fenwick's mascot is the Falcons. All of the school's sports teams are sanctioned by the OHSAA. The boys teams compete in the GCL. The girls teams compete in the GGCL. Fenwick currently has teams in the following athletic sports: Baseball, Basketball (Girls and Boys), Bowling, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Inline Hockey, Lacrosse (Girls and Boys), Softball, Soccer (Girls and Boys), Swimming, Tennis (Girls and Boys), Track, Triathlon, Volleyball, and Wrestling.

[edit] Father Chuck

Father Charles Mentrup (April 17, 1959 - October 31, 2006), known to his students as Father Chuck, or Padre, was principal of Bishop Fenwick High School from 1997-2005. He is credited with much of the growth of Fenwick, and is partially responsible for helping to speed up and initiate the construction of the current school campus. On October 31, 2006, at 2:58 A.M., while driving home from Argosy Casino, Fr. Chuck died in a one-car accident. His death deeply affected former and current students. His funeral mass was celebrated at La Salle High School where he was a former teacher and counselor. A memorial service was held at Fenwick High School.
