Birth was the first "real" episode for Wonder Showzen, making its debut appearance on MTV2's channel on March 11, 2005.
[edit] Premise
Extended version of the original unaired "Kids Show" pilot episode. The gang tries to help out the depressed Letter N.
[edit] Information
- Present in the opening and closing scenes are early versions of Sthugar and Clarence, as well as the Mushroom Cloud character featured in the season 2 episode "Cooperation," although in "Cooperation" he is full-size, portrayed by an actor in a costume, rather than by a hand-puppet. The hand-puppet version of the Mushroom Cloud character also appears in the jury in the season 2 episode "Justice."
- Portions of this first episode are taken from the original "Kid's Show" pilot. Included from the original is the same Q&A question of "Where Do Babies Come From?", some footage and material from the Q&A (some footage is reused, some material is reused with different kids, however, there is no references to Lebanon, which was prominently featured in the pilot), most of the "Trip to the Hot Dog Factory" feature is reused (some of the commentary and footage is cut, and the name the kid on commentary gives the pig changes from "Harvey" to "Mortimer"), the "When I Get Sad" by Letter N" music video, Most of the S/N sex scene (parts are cut and the song is changed) and the I birth scene are reused. Most of the Funny/Not Funny feature is reused, with some clips cut and a new introduction. The introduction prior to the "If I was a" feature is used, although the original "If I was a" feature is cut and replaced with one more fiting of the recurring Mexico theme in the episode. The original "If I was a" would be reused in a later episode.
- On the "Beat Kids" segment the host, a little boy, uses a microphone that says "Kids Show."
- The N character is a reference to a classic Sesame Street musical vignette, "Lower Case N", about a lonely member of the alphabet whom nobody loves.
