Birley Community College

Birley Community College is a secondary school and technology college in Birley, Sheffield. The school has special connections with the village of Pwani Mchangani in Zanzibar.[1] It has a very friendly environment, where children of many ethnic minorities and backgrounds are welcome. The school is split up into three levels, the topmost one being the Religious Studies and Modern Foreign Languages block, the first floor being the Mathematics and English Blocks and the bottom being Science, Music, Design Technology and ICT.

The School contains a large Learning Resource Centre equipped with modern technology such as interactive whiteboards and modern computer systems.

The courses available at Birley are: Maths, English, Science (GNVQ, Single, Double & Triple Awards), Graphics, Woodworking, Engineering, Media Studies, ICT (Dida GNVQ / ECDL Certificate), Health & Social care (GNVQ), Art, Music and Modern Foreign Languages
