Birla Vishwakarma Mahavidyalaya

Birla Vishwakarma Mahavidyalaya is an engineering college located in Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat, India. Founded in 1948 it is one of India's oldest engineering colleges. The college rose to prominence under the able stewardship of legendary Profs Junarkar and KM Dholakia. It is one of the few colleges in India that provides education using the credit system.

A government college partially sponsored by the [Charutar Vidya Mandal] [1] it falls under the Sardar Patel University.

As of 2005 it had the following number of students:

  • Electrical Engineering 60
  • Production Engineering 30
  • Information Technology 60
  • Total 495

In addition to providing admissions to high school graduates from Gujarat the schools offers admissions to students out of state via a competitive entrance test.
