Birkenhead United is a soccer club in New Zealand.

The club has some of the best young talent in the country, with players such as Mokthar Mohammadi (16) and Ben McArdle (16) playing in the 1st team, and Dane MacGibbon (18) playing in the u-17 side. Also they have goalkeeper, Sydney Lorence, touted as "The next Buffon", who plays in the u-17 side. Rico Bojangles, captain of the U-17 team was voted the best player in the club in 1987, following up his Best Junior Club Member Award in 1956. Under 19 rep Bazz Alderman recently won most improved player at the club.

Also, the club features Papua New Guinea international midfielder Mauri Wasi and New Zealand Olympic Champion Discus thrower Jeffy "queen Bea" Sanford.

Birkenhead is currently the 2nd best team in the Greater Auckland Region.
