Birger Jarls Torg is a plaza on Riddarholmen, near Gamla stan in Stockholm. The plaza, which is one of the oldest in Stockholm, used to be called Riddarholmstorget, but in the mid-19th century, the plaza was renamed Birger Jarls Torg after Birger Jarl, the founder of Stockholm, and a statue of him was erected in 1854.
