Birendra Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya is the only military boarding high school in Nepal. It was established in 1986 in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur with the aim to provide quality education to all the children of the army staff. The majority of the students are from military families. Also known as "Suping Campus" in the past, Birendra Sainik, aims to provide quality education along with some extra curricular activities. Recently different branch have been established in the major cities of Nepal, Pokhara and Dharan.

The admission starts from grade 4 through high school. It educates students from grades 4 to 10, following the government curriculum, finally taking the SLC (School Leaving Certificate). After completing grade 10, students can choose between Tribhuvan University's Intermediate Course for Science and Humanities or the Higher Secondary Education Board's +2 education programme for Management.

Birendra Military Residential High School boards all the boys from class 4 to 12 whereas all the girls are day scholars. Providing various qualities to its graduates, the school has proved itself as one of the best schools in the nation.
