Talk:Bipolar disorder support groups
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a separate subject, and as such should be a separate page. Additionally, it will greatly shorten the bipolar disorder article, which is already ridiculously long. If a link to this page is included on the bipolar disorder page, I think the original article will find itself greatly improved, and people with bipolar disorder can seek their needed resource here. As a side note, I'm a mental health professional and I'm currently trying to edit the bipolar disorder article so that it is helpful and readable. The old page made me want to cry in frustration. I don't, by the way, have bipolar disorder. user:NoLightofMyOwn
Wikipedia is not merely a collection of links WP:NOT. This article should be deleted. Barrylb 15:37, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- Please quickly expand the article as proposed, User: NoLightofMyOwn, or move the list of links to the external link section of the bipolar disorder article. Without content, this wikipage should be deleted. It can be re-created when someone is ready to contribute some content. -- PFHLai 16:04, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

- The links do not belong on the bipolar disorder page either, which I have just cleaned up and linked to a directory instead. The whole point of this page seems to be for a collection of links. I don't see any future in it. Barrylb 16:12, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

- I've posted a note on User talk:NoLightofMyOwn. If this editor doesn't return and expand the article in a week or so, please remind me (or get any admin) to delete it. Thanks. -- PFHLai 16:30, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

A week did pass without any expansion, leaving this article as a collection of links. So, when it came up under Things to Do on the Community Portal, I merged it with the Bipolar disorder article. The issue of whether or not such a lengthy list of links needs to exist at all, in any location, may still need to be addressed, but for now, I just felt that this article as a seperate entity needed to be dealt with.
