Biomech is the first and only album by Ocean Machine, a band started by Devin Townsend. It is now generally considered to belong to the body of Devin's work known as Devin Townsend. As such it is now released as a Devin Townsend solo work with the title 'Ocean Machine : Biomech'. It had respectable sales in Japan the week of release. 'Biomech' was released in Japan on July 21st and sold 12,000 copies that first week and has maintained solid sales since. [1]
The initial line-up for the band was Devin, John "Squid" Harder, Marty Chapman and SYL guitarist Jed Simon.[2] Later it was re-recorded due to Devin becoming dissatisfied with the original version. [3]
