Biocompatible
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Biocompatible is the adjectival form of biocompatibility, which describes if a material is compatible to perform with a host response that is suitable in a specific application.
This word is often used to characterise a biomaterial. However the use of "biocompatible" is not recommended for this since the word biocompatible by itself is not contextual and since no material can perform with an appropriate host response in all situations.
