Bingo Shōbara Station

Bingo Shōbara Station (備後庄原駅 Bingo Shōbara Eki?) is a JR West Geibi station located in 2-chōme, Nakamoto-chō, Shōbara, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. The station was a stop for the former Chidori and Taishaku express trains from Miyoshi.

Bingo Shōbara Station features one station-side platform, and two platforms on either side of an island platform. There are multiple side tracks at the station, allowing for trains to be stored there. Trains can enter the station from two directions and use the island platform. Bingo Shōbara Station features a kumitorishiki benjo (basically an "indoor outhouse" attached to the building).

Bingo Shōbara Station is located in downtown Shōbara, with many services available including stores, offices, hospitals, churches, shrines and temples, and the main city offices. The Saijō River is located about 300m behind Bingo Shōbara Station. The Shōbara North Branch Post Office is about 200m west of the station. Ueno Park, which includes a large pond, is about 1m to the southeast of the station.

Shōbara Elementary, Shōbara Junior High, two high schools are also located near the station.
