Can someone explain to me what is going on with this page? Nobody needs permission from anybody to edit a wikipedia page. Fawcett5 06:38, 26 October 2005 (UTC)

I'm quite curious myself. The anon editor (an IP starting with 24) who keeps reverting vandalized my user page, insisting that I don't make changes to the page. This page, and pretty much any one associated with ron and fez, is a mess. I made some cleanup edits, if they were no good then feel free to revert them, but this 24.anon guy doesn't seem to know the deal with editing and formatting. Paul 19:12, 26 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Note

Note to anyone who is editing this page: as far as I know, Billy's surname is "Hine", not "Staples," so a) the article should be moved to the proper title (but I'm not going to open that can of worms) and b) the article should begin "Billy Hine, better known as..."

Also, I am going to remove the external links not directly related to him, i.e. his agent, since this isn't Billy's contact page.

And, hey anon editors, why not sign up for a username? We'd love to have you on board (yes, even you, dude who vandalized my user page), and your edits won't be viewed with anon-suspicion. Paul 06:06, 27 October 2005 (UTC)

The agent and management links are not advertisements, they are there so if someone wants to give him work they can contact them....

People who are not signed in with a user name edits are viewed with anon-suspicion????...oh com'on give the legitimate contributor a break. If it wasn't for the anonymous contributor the Wikipedia concept would be dead. If it was that important, why are anonymous contributions allowed at all?? Ok, the administrators help because they keep the pages under format control which is important but the people who go in and delete valid information because they think it's superfluous are down right wrong. The Wikipedia is an open venue for information and let's keep it that way boys.

[edit] Full name

Regarding the deletion of "Billy Hine" by 70.107.193.151, please note the following from Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies):

Names

While the article title should generally be the name by which the subject is most commonly known, the subject's full name should be given in the lead paragraph, if known. Many cultures have a tradition of not using the full name of a person in everyday reference, but the article should start with the complete version.

Also, the external link to his agent is basically advertisement. Unless there is a policy allowing this, I'm going to continue to remove it.

So please stop removing his full name from the lead sentence and adding questionable links, m'kay? KTHX, Paul 21:19, 27 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] The Real Billy Staples?

Is the actual Billy Staples editing this page? If so then let me say I am a huge R+F fan and I think you were an integral part of the show. The day they left WNEW was a sad one.

I didn't add your real name for any reason other than that it is how bio pages are supposed to be formatted on Wikipedia. Don't take my reversal of your edits personally, it's just how the page is supposed to look.

Why don't you sign up for a user page, Billy? You would be an asset to Wikipedia.
