Für die Demokraten war er von 1979 bis 1997 Senator des US-Bundesstaats New Jersey. Als Basketballer spielte er zwischen 1967 und 1977 in der US-Profiliga NBA für die New York Knicks. Bradley ist 1,95 m groß und spielte auf der Position des Small Forward.
