From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Billy Tubbs (March 5, 1935 – ) is a college men's basketball coach. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native has been the head coach of his alma mater Lamar University (1976-1980), the University of Oklahoma (1980-1994) and Texas Christian University (1994-2002).

Tubbs was known for his run and gun high scoring offense, which lead to exciting plays, albeit weak defense, which sometimes lead to a lack of winning seasons.
