Billy Bowlegs III (1862 – 1965) was a Seminole elder and historian. He lived on the Brighton Reservation in Florida. Born Billy Fewell to a black father and Seminole mother, he renamed himself after Billy Bowlegs, a prominent Seminole chief. He is also known by his Seminole name of Cofehapkee. He is buried in Ortona cemetery in Fort Drum, Florida.
