[edit] Biography
Myers was discovered in a nightclub by record producer Peter Q. Harris. She was offered a recording deal with Universal Music and only a short time later had songs playing in radio stations across the world.
Her biggest moment arrived in 1998, when her debut single, "Kiss the Rain," hit the UK singles chart and reached number 4. The single was taken from her 1997 debut, Growing, Pains. "Kiss the Rain" was featured in the U.S. TV series Dawson's Creek (episode #2-02, entitled "Crossroads") in a scene famous among the more ardent fans of the WB teen drama; the song was also used in promotions for ADM (Archer Daniels Midland), often seen at the beginning of The News Hour with Jim Lehrer.
The follow-up release, entitled "Tell Me," made it to number 28. The dance remix of "Kiss the Rain" was the first #1 for both Myers and the remix team, Thunderpuss.
In June 2000, Myers released her second album, Vertigo, which featured the single "Am I Here Yet? (Return to Sender)," which was only released in the United States. The dance remix of this single, by legendary DJ Junior Vasquez, hit #1 on the dance charts. Shortly afterwards, Myers split from Universal. She is currently producing her third album, rumored to be entitled Swimming Lessons.
Her most recent single, "Just Sex," was released on November 2005 with Artemis Records' Star Struck compilation album.
She was the closing act for the LA Gay Pride 2006, a featured act for New York City Pride 2006, as well as the Chicago North Halsted Market Days 25th Anniversary Festival.
