Bill Wong

Bill Wong is a Montreal restauranteur specializing in Asian food.
Wong opened the first Chinese restaurant outside of Montreal's Chinatown on Queen Mary Road.
Wong also opened Canada's first Chinese buffet restaurant on Decarie Boulevard in Montreal in 1963. This venue was combined with a Benihana restaurant at the same location. The buffet, later run by his son Earl Wong, is slated to close on January 7, 2007.
He retired in 2001 at the age of 81.
