Bill Whitridge

William Oswald Whitridge (born 14 August 1853 at Kensington, South Australia, died 12 February 1919 at Adelaide, South Australia) was a cricket Test match umpire.

He umpired 1 Test match between Australia and England in Adelaide on 24 March to 28 March 1892, standing with George Edward Downs, also in his only Test match. England won easily by an innings and 230 runs – the largest victory margin to that date – in Jack Blackham’s last match.

Whitridge was also an administrator with the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA).
