Bill Stewart (ice hockey)

Bill Stewart (born October 6, 1957 in Toronto, Ontario) is a retired Canadian ice hockey defenceman.

Stewart started his National Hockey League career with the Buffalo Sabres in 1977. He also played for the St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Minnesota North Stars. He left the NHL after the 1986 season. He retired as a player in 1995. He would later coach the New York Islanders after his playing career.
