Bill Profili

Bill Profili (b. August 29, 1947) is a candidate for the Liberal Party of Canada in the riding of BC Southern Interior in the 2006 Federal Election
Born in Rossland, British Columbia, Profili is a retired paramedic formerly employed by the B.C. Ambulance Service, and was active in C.U.P.E. during that time. He was also coached minor softball and minor hockey, and is an avid outdoorsman. He belongs to the Colombo Lodge, Knights of Columbus, Royal Canadian Legion and the Trail Wildlife Association.

He was elected Councillor on Rossland City Council for four years and Mayor of Rossland for sixteen years. Profili is currently the Chairman of the Lower Columbia Community Development Team (LCCDT), and was a founding member of the Community Futures Committee and its chair for two years. He also chaired the Community Forest Advisory Committee (CFAC) and co-chaired the Highway 3B Mayors Committee concerning highway issues from Princeton to the Alberta border. He was also the Regional District Finance Chairman for the Regional District of Kootenay-Boundary.
