Bill Michael

Bill Michael was the head football coach at UTEP from 1977 to 1981, serving as the school's seventeenth head coach. He compiled a 5-43(.104) record, which eventually led to his firing in 1981. He lost 10 consecutive games three times, including his first 2 seasons.
He has also coached at his alma mater University of Arkansas. He coached at Oklahoma, and served under hall-of-fame coach Barry Switzer. During his three seasons there, the team compiled a 43-6-1 record, including two Sugar Bowl championships. He served as the linebackers coach at the University of South Carolina in 1983.
