Bill Hutton

William David 'Bill' Hutton (January 28, 1910-March 1, 1974) was a Canadian Professional Hockey Defenceman who played 2 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Quakers.

Born in Calgary, Alberta, Hutton played the position of Defense for teams in the NHL, CAHL, AHA, WCHL, NWHL, PCHL, Exhib., IHL, Can-Am, Mem-Cup, and the CCJHL hockey leagues. At 5'10, and 165lbs, Hutton played for the Calgary Canadians from 1927 to 1929, Boston Bruins from 1929 to 1931, Ottawa Senators from 1929 to 1930, Philadelphia Arrows from 1929 to 1930, Philadelphia Quakers from 1930 to 1931, Boston Cubs from 1931 to 1932, Detroit Olympics from 1931 to 1932, Duluth Hornets from 1931 to 1932, Syracuse Stars from 1931 to 1932, Calgary Tigers from 1932 to 1934, Vancouver Lions from 1934 to 1941, Tulsa Oilers from 1941 to 1942, and Vancouver St. Regis from 1942 to 1944. Hutton retired from hockey after the 1943/1944 hockey season. Hutton died in Vancouver, British Columbia, in March 1974, at the age of 64. His grandson is noted record producer Darren Hutton.
