Bill Hay

William "Billy" (Red) Hay (Born - December 8th, 1935 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada) is a retired Canadian Hockey centerman who played 8 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Chicago Blackhawks. He is the son of Hockey Hall of Fame member Charles Hay.

[edit] Playing career

Hay won the Calder Trophy in 1960 as rookie of the year in the NHL. In 1960-61, matched on a line with Bobby Hull and Chico Maki, he was the top scorer for the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Black Hawks. After his retirement he returned to western Canada in Calgary, Alberta to become the President of the Calgary Flames of the NHL. He is currently the President of the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
