Bill Hallahan

"Wild" Bill Hallahan (August 4, 1902 - July 8, 1981) was a professional baseball player. He was a left-handed pitcher over parts of twelve seasons (1925-1926, 1929-1938) with the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies. He was the National League strikeout champion in 1930 & 1931 with the St. Louis. For his career, he compiled a 102-94 record in 324 appearances, with a 4.03 ERA and 856 strikeouts. Hallahan played on four National League pennant winners with the Cardinals, winning the World Series in 1926, 1931, and 1934. Hallahan finished 3-1 in 7 postseason appearances with a 1.36 ERA.
He was born and later died in Binghamton, New York at the age of 78.
