Bill Corbett is a playwright, television writer, screen writer, and performer.
He was a writer on the cult T.V. comedy Mystery Science Theater 3000 (M.S.T.3K.), where he also played the voice of the wise-cracking robot Crow T. Robot during the show's run on the Sci Fi Channel, as well as Observer (also known as "Brain Guy") as well as a host of other minor parts. He was also writer for the miniseries The Adventures of Edward the Less in 2001, along with several other former M.S.T.3K. cast members.
Since 2002, Corbett, along with Michael J. Nelson and Kevin Murphy, both of whom he starred with on M.S.T.3K., has been a part of The Film Crew, a comedic team similar to M.S.T.3K.. The Film Crew occasionally hosts segments between movies on the American Movie Classics, Starz/Encore and Sundance Channel cable channels in the U.S.A. The Film Crew also maintains an infrequently-updated website (link below).
It was recently announced that Eddie Murphy will star in and Brian Robbins will direct a screen-play written by Corbett entitled Starship Dave.
Corbett has also recorded several audio commentary tracks with Mike Nelson for Nelson's RiffTrax service.
