Bill Ballard

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

William (Bill) Ballard is a businessman and concert promoter. He is the son of Toronto Maple Leafs hockey mogul Harold Ballard.

Bill Ballard was a founder of Concert Productions International (familiarly, CPI), which is a major promoter of rock concerts and tours in North America. It was established in Toronto in 1973 as a subsidiary of WBC Productions Ltd by Michael Cohl, William (Bill) Ballard, and David Wolinsky. He was a co-founder of Canada's Walk of Fame.

In 1989, following a long standing feud over the partitioning of his father's estate, Bill Ballard was convicted of assaulting Harold's longtime companion Yolanda Ballard and was fined $500.
