Bill Aitken (politician)

Bill Aitken (15 April 1947, Glasgow) is a Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party member of the Scottish Parliament for Glasgow.
Following a career in the insurance industry, he represented the City of Glasgow as a councillor between 1976 and 1999 and entered the Scottish Parliament at the election in May 1999. He is also a Justice of the Peace and a Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow. He is currently the Chief Whip for the Scottish Conservative Party in Holyrood.
Bill can be seen every other Saturday afternoon at Firhill Stadium supporting the Great Glasgow footballing alternative that is Partick Thistle Football Club.
