Bilal Ahmed (born January 11, 1982, Pirpiai, Nowshera, Pakistan) is an Pakistani cricketer who has also played for the Karachi in the Quaid Azam Trophy and Pakistan U-19, PIA cricket team and now Playing for Port Qasim cricket team.

Born to a Muslim family which was opposed to cricket, Bilal first gained prominence in 1998 at the age of 14 before he had even played first class cricket for Karachi, when he was invited to the Pakistan U-19 Team in Lahore by the Pakistani chairman of selectors Wasim Bari. There he attracted the attention of visiting Australian captain Steve Waugh, and the director Sarfaraz Nawaz, a former Pakistani fast bowler with his Batting and Off Spin Bowling. However, with the backing of Saeed Anwer, he was captured by Karachi, in late 1997, without ever representing his native Nowshera/Peshawer.

In 1999, he struggled with injuries, He was also sent to Australian Institute of Sport for bio-mechanical analysis on his bowling action, to improve its efficiency. In August 1999, he transferred to PIA, and after taking 10 wickets and 188* Runs against England in a tour match for the President's XI, he was rewarded with his selection in the Pakistan-A Squad for the tour against England-A at Oval, when he made his debut.

Bilal recorded the figures of 14/70 on debut for Pakistan-A, he have a record of best bowling in his 1st Match including an impressive 8/25 in the second innings and demonstrated an ability to bowl doosra the ball goes to the other direction.

In the 1999-2000 Series against England-A, Bilal proved he is the best spin bowler in Pakistan, a skill lacking in recent young Pakistan Spin bowlers. against the England in England, however, Bilal was on his best.

He was the second person to master the "doosra" he represent Pakistan at U-14, U-17, U-19, Pakistan-A and at the time every one was sure that he will become the greatest allrounder this world have ever seen.

After that he have some injuries, and he stop playing due to some objection on selection and also he injured his shoulder then he not play any type of cricket for 04 years but now we have a good new that he have sing a contract with Port Qasim and he is performing very well and seem that he will take just a little time to be the part of National side.
