[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Jason.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Jason.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Gretna/UEFA Cup
Gretna FC have not already qualified for the UEFA Cup.
If Hearts finish third and win the cup, the UEFA slot will revert to the SPL because of UEFA's superior tournament rule.
Runners-up only qualify if the winners have qualified for a "superior" tournament - ie the Champions League. Gretnagod 12:01, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Stornoway
Hello, I notice you added Angus MacAskill to the Stornoway page, should he really be mentioned there at all as he was from Berneray and not Stornoway? Just wondered Fraslet 20:58, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Tiumpan.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Tiumpan.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Hetar 00:20, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Badgeferguson.jpg
Hi Steve. I noticed that you were the one who uploaded Image:Badgeferguson.jpg, and I just wanted to say that it's quite simply the best Clan Crest that I've seen on wikipedia, or anywhere on the web. May I ask where you got it? I'd very much like to get one for the Clan Fraser article. Canaen 20:16, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Alyth McCormack
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Alyth McCormack, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Alyth McCormack. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Deleted page "East Siberian Laika"
A page you created, or image you uploaded, East Siberian Laika, has been deleted in accordance with our deletion policy. In particular, it meets the one or more criteria for speedy deletion; the relevant criterion is:
- Blatant copyright infringement which meets these parameters: material was copied from another website which does not have a license compatible with Wikipedia; there is no non-infringing content in the page history worth saving; the infringement was introduced at once by a single person rather than created organically on wiki and then copied by another website such as one of the many Wikipedia mirrors; uploader does not assert permission (for images: no assertion aside from tags) or fair use, or the assertion is questionable.
Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy.
You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable notability guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content; it will be deleted again and may be protected from re-creation. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article. If you have any questions, please contact an administrator for assistance. Thank you – Gurch 04:42, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Scotland (again; an explanatory note for the benefit of passing editors)
For the benefit of passing editors, the edits Tubezone is complaining about weren't vandalism.
Anyway, Big Steve, these questions have been discussed, at length on Talk:Scotland and in the archives. Brenda is the head of state, Tony is the head of government, Jackie Boy is neither. It's perfectly ok to be bold, and to make big changes, but don't be surprised if they are reverted. Tìoraidh! Angus McLellan (Talk) 00:07, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Stornoway
Please stop vandalising Stornoway. You obviously have some personal issue with the Church. Please remember that you have to abide by the Wikipedia guidelines and remain neutral.
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Roar.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Roar.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
