I'd meant to start at least a stub on the jeweler, but if you can get to it great! It's been sitting on my to do list for the past... year or so, so I'm obviously not in that big of a rush to get to it. --ImmortalGoddezz 19:54, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Self-redirects

I noticed that you've been creating pages that redirect to themselves, like Johor bahru and Fleksnes fataliteter, with the edit summary "(link repair (You can help!))" If you're using automated help, would you check its setting to avoid this? Thanks, FreplySpang 22:11, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

I see you fixed Fleksnes fataliteter already, thanks! FreplySpang 22:11, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
I do it manually. My manual process includes double checking the resulting redirect, which is how I caught Fleksnes fataliteter. The check step sometimes does get missed. Thank you for pointing out Johor bahru. I've gone back and fixed it as well. BigrTex 22:24, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, manual checking is about the only way I know to do it. I don't think there are any plans to include checks in the MediaWiki software itself. I remember seeing somebody mention a future bot that might deal, but I haven't heard anything about it recently. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for the wiki-gnome-work! Update to Template:Update_after

Hi! I've made changes to Template:Update after (it now links to Category:Wikipedia articles in need of updating and As of), and made significant changes to the documentation at Template:Update_after (including documenting the built-in ability to add a comment, and a changes in where it's allowable to be used); please review, and provide comments at Template talk:Update after if you think any are appropriate. Thanks! --Scott McNay 04:00, 16 October 2006 (UTC).

New Carissa

Hi,

I reverted your edit to New Carissa--that photo is indeed of the bow section, prior to its eventual towing and sinking. The stern section which remains on the beach is much smaller. (I should locate a higher-res photo...) --EngineerScotty 16:55, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. I do a lot of rapid scans through thousands of articles via Special:Uncategorizedpages, where I do some rapid categorization/rvv/speedy/prod assessments, and hadn't noticed that that article was one that was going across my desk twice! Thanks for catching it. If you disagree with the prod, feel free to remove the template, as I'm kind of ambivalent on it, myself. Maybe an AfD is in order, to let the community decide? --Elonka 03:28, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks for fixing up Tomas Andersson. I wasn't thinking properly when I wrote that article, which I hope can explain the obvious spelling mistakes! Thanks, JB Pretender2j 02:06, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Did you know?

Updated DYK query On 2 December 2006, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Mansfield Cut Underwater Archeological District, which you created. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

{{uncat}}, at bottom or top

Actually, I started off adding them at the bottom, but then I noticed other people seemed to have been adding them at the top. It's easy for me to do either way, though: I'll ask at the cleanup-cat talk page, and see if there's a clear feeling either way... Alai 00:39, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
